Our library is a very busy place from 8:30 in the morning until the end of school. We serve almost 500 students and over 40 teachers and paraprofessionals. Mrs. Johnson helps students with book exchanges plus many other jobs in the building. You can even find her on the H Street crosswalk! Mr. Tuski starts the day with open library and lab then sees six classes a day in forty-five minute intervals. He teaches library science, (Dewey Rocks!) conducts booktalks and teaches computer science in the lab. By the time students move on to middle school, they should read well, understand how a library works, type well, know word processing, research on the Internet and be clever with presentation tools such as PowerPoint.
