| On behalf of our entire staff at Blaine Elementary
School, I would like to welcome you to the 2008-2009 school year. The
opening of school is always a fun and exciting time for students,
parents and staff members. It is by far my favorite time of the school
year. The enthusiasm and eagerness on the faces of the children is an
amazing sight. If the beginning of this school year is an indication of things to come, we are in for a terrific year of teaching and learning. We will have our curriculum night on September 18th. Teachers will be sharing what they will be teaching and many other important events. The time for third grade is from 6:30-7:10 p.m. and from 7:15-8:00 p.m. for fourth and fifth grades. Teachers will be sending home additional information. Our doors will open at 8:30 a.m. for students wanting to participate in morning activities or to have breakfast in our cafeteria. If students choose not to participate in these activities, the doors will be open at 8:50 a.m. Our staff is thrilled about the opportunity to work with your children this year. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive and nurturing learning environment for all students. Our school has an excellent parent support group. Ensuring student success is a joint effort. It takes the student, the family and the school working together with a common vision to help all students reach their potential. We invite you to be an integral part of your child’s education. We look forward to your active participation in our school community. |
