Blaine High School graduation requirements and class catalogue.

The minimum academic course requirements for admission to most four-year colleges and universities are as follows:

Four-Year College or University
SUBJECT YEARS OF STUDY
English
4 years
Math (Algebra 1/2, Geometry, Algebra 3/4 or Integrated Math I-III) 3 years
Science (at least one year of laboratory) 3 years
World (foreign) Language 2 years (3 years recommended)
Fine, Visual, Preforming Arts 1 year



College entry requirements vary from one college to another and may change from year to year. In addition to meeting minimum course studies, your admission to a four-year college will be based upon your cumulative GPA and test scores from either the ACT of SAT. 

Private colleges and universities and the more competitive public schools will usually require essays and/or letters of recommendation.  Please consult your counselor if you have questions regarding these tests.
