Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year! We are excited to see the
graduating classes of 2019, 2020, and 2021. The staff and I are looking forward to working with our
returning students and families along with the many new families joining us
this year. We at Blaine Primary School
are excited to let you know about our new school-wide rules. They are very simple: Be Safe Be Responsible Be Respectful Mr. Causey has developed a
wonderful assembly for our students and with the help of the staff we have
talked with all the kids about these rules and role played what they would
look like at school. We are
hoping that you at home would reinforce these rules with your child(ren) so
that they are receiving the same message at home and at school. Our goal is to catch our students
Being Safe, Being Responsible and Being Respectful. To help promote our new approach to these rules we have a
bulletin board outside the office that is entitled “Building Blaine Primary
Schools Community Brick by Brick”.
When we catch students Being Safe, Being Responsible and Being
Respectful, they will get nominated for a brick that states (The child’s
name) was caught following Blaine Primary School rules! We will put their
picture on the brick and it will help us build our school. As they continually get caught, stamps
will be added and after 5 stamps they will get to have lunch with me. The primary school feels
very fortunate to have the on going support of our parents, school board, and
community. Please feel free to
visit and/or volunteer in the school whether you have children in our
building or not. We love to have
others helping us enrich the lives and education of our students. On behalf of the staff and myself, we are looking forward
to a great year here at Blaine Primary School. |

- Participant on the administrative team. Personal matters, legislative issues, budgeting and budgetary concern, recent law provisions, and team decision making were popular agenda items.
- District Director of Summer Enrichment Program.
BUILDING LEVEL LEADERSHIP:
- Facilitated site-based management team meetings and decisions regarding personnel placement, legislative issues, budget and budgetary concerns, and building level problem solving.
- Observed and evaluated classified staff job performance.
- Observed teachers teaching, evaluated lessons. (Clinical Supervision)
- Presented information at parent and school board meetings.
- Interviewed applicants for various job openings, classified employees and certificated staff.
- Organized and implemented the before/after school enrichment program.
- Devised the master schedule for parallel block involving recess, p.e., music and library.
CURRICULUM RELATED
EXPERIENCE:
- Involved in Blaine School District K - 12 Curriculum Committee. Adopted all curricular areas. Data was gathered from teachers regarding the scope and sequence, and guidelines were established for monitoring and adopting curriculum.
- Involved in developing fifth grade social studies and science curriculum.
- Organized and brought to Blaine a traveling museum with hands-on activities.
