RECOGNITION OF STUDENTS, STAFF AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS

Policy No. 5530

The board appreciates the effort made by its members, students, staff and community partners in achieving the District’s goals and objectives. The Board recognizes notable accomplishments on behalf of the district, including exemplary service, special achievements or outstanding contributions. The Board authorizes the Superintendent to conduct a program of recognition for students, staff, and community partners.

Examples of such activities will include but not necessarily be limited to:

·        Recognition of Students, Staff and Community Members

·        Back-To-School Breakfast and All-Staff Kick-Off Meeting

·        Teacher-Of-The-Year

·        End-Of-The-Year Staff Appreciation Tea

·        Service Awards

·        Retirement Award

·        Coach Of The Year Award

·        Classified Employee Of The Year

·        Blaine School District Community Recognition

District expenditures will be limited to food and/or beverage for the actual event, certificates, pins, plaques, or other standard/traditional awards.  Employees and/or patrons will not be presented with recognition items which have a net cash value, including gift certificates.
