BLAINE SCHOOL DISTRICT IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR A BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST ASSOCIATE TO SERVE GRADES 6-8.

BUILDING:                                    Blaine Middle School

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong student management skills
  • Basic competencies in written or oral English
  • Good job attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work positively and collaboratively with students and staff; strong people skills
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Willing and able to self-start and self–monitor
  • Willing and able to take direction and complete tasks efficiently
  • Willing and able to learn new skills

DESIRABLE CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Prior work experience in schools
  • Experience with computers (word processing)
  • Ability to take and follow directions
  • Creative and innovative thinking skills
  • Para-educator or secretarial experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • In-school suspension supervisor and homework assistance
  • Student Of The Month coordinator
  • Sorting and mailing
  • Attendance:  tracking and entry of student absence and discipline, contact/notify parents of student absence
  • Honor Level System:  Recording and entering Skyward/Honor Level data system electronically
  • Lunch supervision
  • Additional duties as assigned by the principal

HOURS:

  •  6 hours per student day – 8:00AM-2:30 PM
