School Improvement Plan

  1. Blaine High School will become an AVID certified school before the 2010-2011 school year.
  2. Blaine High School will improve from 45 percent on the math H.S.P.E. to 58 percent by 2011.  In doing so, we will refine and refocus our Algebra and Geometry instruction and assessment focusing on key areas of instruction and curriculum that are the basis for the courses and state based summative assessments.  The ability to target the appropriate cohort (Level 2 students et. al.) refine our instructional practices and establish clear and specific benchmarks will facilitate a tremendous improvement in student achievement.

Invitation to Parents

Parents have access to the academic progress of students through Duxdata, Course Syllabus’, Parent Teacher Conferences and teacher availability.  We realize how vital the role of parental involvement is in the education of our high school students.  In this regard, we continually welcome parents/guardians to join us in collaborating to solve problems and create solutions in our paramount responsibility.
