**Please note that some items such as the package of notebook paper and package of photocopy printer paper are collected at the beginning of the year and pooled for class use. This helps regulate the use of the paper so that it lasts throughout the year. Due to legislative cuts to education, the district has limited funds this year for materials so your help in ensuring that your children have all their supplies is greatly appreciated.

Student Emergency Kit

In the event of an emergency situation while your child is in school, our Safety Committee is recommending that a kit be kept at school that contains items that may help to comfort your child.

Please send the following items in a gallon-size plastic bag. Please print your child's name on the bag:

FOOD:

2 Granola bars

Fruit rollup or small package of raisins or nuts

Jerky

Single serving, non-perishable, securely sealed food item

Bottle of drinking water

ITEMS FOR WARMTH:

Space Blanket (available at Rite-Aid for about $4.00; also at Dollar Store in Tsawwassen for about $1.50)

2 Leaf/lawn plastic bags - one to sit on, another for a "raincoat"

OTHER POSSIBLE ITEMS:

Letter of comfort from you letting your child know that they will be cared for until you arrive at school.
