Blaine School District is presenting more than one learning model for the 2020-2021 school year, a hybrid learning model that consists of alternating weeks or online only. A full description of both learning models can be found on the COVID-19 Information & Updates page, in the Health Services section of our website.
At this time we are asking families to decide on the model that best suites their child and make a commitment to that model through at least the first semester, which ends January 22, 2021. Families will have an opportunity in December 2020 to request a change in their selected model, and requests will be reviewed based on space availability. We anticipate that requests to move to hybrid from online only will be the more difficult to accommodate.
This attestation does not include an option for students not returning to BSD; official withdrawals must be made through your child's school when it reopens in August.
This opportunity to attest will close at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 30, 2020. Any student who the district does not receive a response for will be defaulted into the hybrid learning model.
For planning purposes, we are also asking you to indicate the use of school transportation and the need for a computer for online learning for each child.
We appreciate you taking the time to complete this attestation and help us further in our planning.
