group of people listening to old time radio

I am happy to announce that the choir program in collaboration with the Jazz band are releasing our debut collection of works for the year! As you probably know we have been working hard in the music programs to keep the music going during the pandemic, and we are SO excited for you to hear what we have created.

On Monday Dec 14th at 7pm we invite you to pop some pop corn, get some hot chocolate, cozy up with your family on the couch and log into the Blaine School District YouTube channel, "Blaine School District, WA"  to hear the first ever “Blaine MS and HS Holiday Radio Show”

The show will consist of songs by the Choir and Jazz band with a few solos peppered in. All of this will be strung together with student narration. There will be winter and holiday images displayed but there will be no video, only the beautiful sound of your kids singing their hearts out. Just like a radio show from the 40s and 50s. All of the students wanted to do their part to uplift the community at this time, so we chose songs meant to be uplifting and bring us together as a community.

Please plan to log on and have a listen. One nice thing about this format is that you can access it at any time and share it with friends and family.

We hope you will attend the live session and after the show please send email comments to us so that we can share your compliments with the students.

Hope you have a great weekend and a great holiday season. May it be filled with music.

In Harmony,

Andy Marshall, Choir Director
