Every year we ask families, community members, and teachers to refer students to be considered for REACH, Blaine School District’s highly capable program. Once a student is referred, additional assessments occur, and a Multidisciplinary Selection Committee reviews your student’s data and determines eligibility. If students do not meet the eligibility criteria this year, they can be referred again the following years.

If you are interested in having your student considered for REACH, please complete our Online Referral Form. Online referrals forms are found on our website at https://www.blainesd.org/o/blaine-school-district/page/reach-highly-capable-program. If you prefer a paper referral, please contact your school office to arrange for a contactless pick up. Referral forms are due no later than February 23rd for consideration this school year.

If you are unsure whether or not your student should be considered, please ask your student’s classroom teacher. Teachers are also encouraged to refer students, so they may also be considering your student for REACH.

If you have any questions about the REACH identification process or the REACH program in general, please feel free to contact the REACH Coordinator at your student’s school.
