Superintendent's Weekly Message

Good evening students, staff, families and community,

I hope you all are set to enjoy Memorial Day weekend, and as a reminder there is no school on Monday as we offer our gratitude to all the men and women who gave their lives while serving in the U.S. military.

Chromebooks
This is a reminder that all Chromebooks must be returned to the school district prior to the end of the school year, with collection beginning on June 9.

Seniors
As we approach the end of year, we are preparing to celebrate the class of 2021.  Senior students and their families should have received an email from the high school with important reminders as we approach June 11.

Summer Academic Support
The district will be providing access to a math support program, Dreambox, for all students over the summer. While this is not required, we are hoping students will spend some time this summer reading and working on math skills when they are able.

2021-2022
We are working hard on the return of all students to in-person learning in the Fall. We appreciate the time our parents took in completing our recent survey.

The state has been clear with school districts that some school districts do not have the resources to provide both a fully in-person and fully remote learning experience for their students. Districts are required to provide a fully in-person option, but they are not required to provide a remote option.

After reviewing the survey responses from families, we have determined there was not enough interest in an online learning model to make that option widely available next year. In the next couple of weeks, campuses will be reaching out to those families who have indicated an interest in an online learning model to discuss their options.
