Blaine School District covid-19 nutrition plan
It is the school district's intent to continue providing meals to the young people in our community during this COVID-19 closure. Grab 'n Go meals are now available for pick up at the school as well as along all existing bus stops. Every child, 18 and under, who comes to a pick up point will be provided a meal, regardless of whether or not they are a student of our district. One lunch and one breakfast (for the next day) will be distributed, including a milk for each meal. If you are walking, we suggest bringing a backpack to make transport easier. If you encounter a line at pick-up, please remember to practice social distancing and remain six feet behind the person in front of you.
NUTRITION DELIVERY ALONG BUS ROUTES
For those who live along bus routes, our drivers and food service staff will be bringing the food to you. For now, the routes have been adjusted into six routes, five in Blaine and Birch Bay and one in Pt. Roberts. The routes that have been created do not list every stop, but every area in the district has a bus coming by. If you know your normal bus route and stop, find the closest stop to yours, and be out at that time. Also, many of the routes include locations where the bus will stop for approximately 10 minutes, and those times and locations are listed in bold. Please note, we have removed the previously posted maps, as we have been unable to update them as frequently as the routes have had to be adjusted. Our transportation director works hard to keep the times updated as adjustments are made to the routes, and we suggest you check back here regularly for any changes.
MEAL DELIVERY ROUTES These routes include the new, in-town, neighborhood pick-up locations that began on Monday, April 6, 2020.
