Pandemic EBT "2.0" is coming soon and will provide food benefits to replace meals missed during the 2020–21 school year. If your student is eligible for the free and reduced lunch program, you MAY be eligible for P-EBT 2.0 for the 2020-2021 school year. Think you might be eligible, but haven't yet applied? If you are already signed up for the free and reduced lunch program, please make sure your address is correct in Skyward Family Access. If your address needs to be updated, please contact your student's school office. This is an important step, because your mailing address in Skyward will be what the state uses when issuing your new P-EBT Card.
Background on the P-EBT:
Due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the federal government launched Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) as a new option in the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. Pandemic EBT provided food benefits to eligible families in order to replace meals that students would have received, if not for disruptions to in-person instruction or school facility closure during the 2019-20 school year. Pandemic EBT benefits issued in May – August of 2020 were meant to replace meals from school year (SY) 2019–20.
