Parents, Guardians, and Students

In keeping with our vision to build Student Agency and Ownership and create a culture of career and college readiness in our 6 - 8th grade students, we have established three field trips that afford ALL BMS students the opportunity to attend.

6th Grade students will experience the Snow Goose - Marine Vessel by class from April 23 - May 2. This event will focus on marine science, and highlight potential careers available to students associated with watercrafts, marine life, and other water and marine related occupations.

7th Grade students will visit Whatcom Community College on March 8, for a morning 1/2 day.  This is the last day of Spring Conferences.  Students will get a tour of campus, become aware of the purpose of a community college, ask current WCC students questions on a student panel, hear from WCC teachers, and hopefully get to eat their sack lunch in the recreation center and play a little basketball as well.

8th Grade students will visit Whatcom Community College on March 1, for a morning 1/2 day.  Students will get a tour of campus, become aware of the purpose of a community college, ask current WCC students questions on a student panel, hear from two WCC teachers, and hopefully get to eat their sack lunch in the recreation center and play a little basketball as well.
