tea light candles and pine cones

Good Evening Students, Staff, Families and Community,

For the first time in what feels like a very long time, this was a week without any major changes or new guidance for us to report to you. We have just one week left before winter break and a chance for us all to rest and recharge. All of our buildings, including the district office, will be closed during the winter break. So a deep cleaning can occur and then our custodial staff will also get a much needed break. Some staff will continue to work remotely.

A few brief points of interest;

  • Daily Wellness Screenings are required and can be done in Skyward

  • Bus Schedules are available in Skyward

  • Changes requested through the online forms this week will go in effect Jan 25th

  • Those with schedule changes will receive an email confirming them by Jan 15th

  • Monday, Dec 14th at 6 P.M. is our next Q&A

As we make our way into December and this season of holidays, I hope that you are taking time to enjoy the things in life that matter most to you. Although many different traditions will be celebrated throughout our community this season, many of them will share a common theme of light. As you travel through these last few weeks of 2020 I hope you are able to embrace the light and begin to look forward to a much brighter year in 2021.

We will continue our Blaine Gives Back campaign through next week to benefit the Blaine Food Bank and hope all who are able will consider giving. (If donating online please add the note "school", so our students can celebrate their efforts.) We have already brought in more than $1,400. That makes it a great night to be a Borderite, and, as always, a great night to be your superintendent.

Sincerely,

Dr. Christopher Granger
