Join the School Safety Resource Officer Advisory Committee (SRO)
Blaine School District is seeking parents, school staff, students, and community members interested in serving on the School Safety Resource Officer (SRO) Advisory Committee.
The purpose of this committee is to gather community perspectives, identify the purpose and vision of a potential SRO program, review previous program goals and outcomes, evaluate benefits and concerns, and explore different SRO models.
Committee meetings will begin the last week of October 2026. Applicants should have flexibility in their schedules to accommodate committee meetings and be willing to actively participate in collaborative discussions. Committee members will work together to develop a recommendation for the Blaine School District Board of Directors by December 14, 2026.
We encourage individuals with a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to apply. Applicants should be willing to participate in thoughtful, respectful discussions, consider different viewpoints, and commit to attending committee meetings.
