Blaine HomeConnection (BHC) Parent Partnership Program

Blaine HomeConnection (BHC) is an Alternative Learning Experience (ALE) program serving K–8 students through the Blaine School District (BSD), as authorized by WAC 392-121-182. Students may enroll full- or part-time, with priority given to BSD residents. Non-resident students must submit an Out-of-District Choice Transfer form.

BHC blends home-based instruction with school support. Families partner with certificated teachers to develop individualized Written Student Learning Plans (WSLPs), which guide instruction and are reviewed monthly. Students may also attend a minimum of 1 weekly onsite enrichment class.

Part-time students must either be enrolled in a BSD school or have submitted an “Annual Declaration of Intent to Provide Home-Based Instruction.” All BHC students have access to BSD programs, including special services as needed.

Family involvement is a key part of BHC’s success. We welcome your support in classrooms, events, and committees. Thank you for being part of our learning community!

If you are interested in BHC for your student(s), please fill out our 25/26 BHC Interest Form.
