Tomorrow, September 1, 2021 is the first day of school, and we could not be more excited to welcome our students back to our campuses. Yesterday a group of student volunteers from the BHS Honor Society spread out across our main Blaine campus to leave encouraging chalk messages for staff and students. We are grateful to them for taking the time to add this positive and welcoming start to our school year!
This morning our staff gathered at the stadium to kick off the year, where Dr. Granger encouraged staff to refuse to allow the forces outside of our control to distract from the focus of positive student outcomes. To do this, he suggested considering what it is we get to do. "We get to instill a lifelong love of learning in the great minds of the next generation," he said. "We get to give in to the act of service that is our life's work and, in return, gain strength, perspective and community."
We look forward to tomorrow and to getting this school year started. If our students or families have last minute questions about the start of school, we encourage you to visit the 2021-2022 School Year pages for our individual schools, where you'll find recently updated information and orientation presentations.
