community message Oct 29th

Dear students, staff, families and community,

As we have concluded quarter one this week I want to extend thanks to the teachers and support personnel who have all contributed to our successes in the first quarter of the year. There is a tremendous amount of hard work being done on a daily basis to educate your students and maintain the health and safety protocols. If you see one of our staff members in the community, I know a thank you from you would be greatly appreciated. We all benefit from the power of positive words.

In addition I want to thank the families of Blaine School District for their continued work in collaborating when their student has had to miss school. The communication assists us in ensuring your student(s) have what they need. We hope many of you will be able to join us on Wednesday night, November 3rd at 6:00 P.M.for my virtual Q&A. (This is a change from our original plan of having it Tuesday night, in order for us to support our volleyball team who we learned just today will be in a game at Meridian that night.) Look for the link to the meeting to be posted on the district website Tuesday morning. I look forward to the time when I can go back to hosting Supper with the Superintendent, but for now I hope you’ll join me online if you have questions.

For K-8 families, Fall conferences are right around the corner, the week of November 8, with November 8, 9, 10 and 12 being early dismissal at 12:50 pm for K-8 students. The modified bus routes for those dates are available on our Transportation page. There is no school on Thursday, November 11th as we show our deep appreciation for all those who have served our country and observe Veterans Day.

Tonight at 6:00 BHS ASB will hold a pep assembly, followed at 6:30 with recognition of our senior football players and their parents under the lights at Borderite Stadium. The game begins at 7:00 P.M. Tomorrow night at 7:30 in the stadium our girl’s soccer team will play a district playoff game. The skies are expected to be clear, so come out and cheer on our teams! It’s a great night to be a Borderite, and, as always, a great night to be your superintendent.

Sincerely,

Dr. Christopher Granger
