community message

Dear students, staff, families and community,

As we approach the middle of October, there are plenty of Fall activities on the horizon. Be sure to check out the upcoming dates below.

HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES

Last Saturday ten members of the Borderite Family were honored with inductions to the Blaine High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Keep an eye on our social media channels as we celebrate each of them over the next few months. I’d like to offer a special congratulations to BHS Secretary Laura Nelson and our Band Director Bob Gray and his wife Dorita who were among this year’s inductees. I’d also like to thank the members of the Blaine Athletic Booster Club and all of the sponsors of Saturday’s event for making it possible.

GREAT WASHINGTON SHAKEOUT

On Thursday, October 20th we will once again participate in the annual Great ShakeOut by holding earthquake drills in our schools. This is also an opportunity for families to talk about earthquake safety and emergency preparedness. You’ll find some great resources for families on Washington State’s Department of Emergency Management website.
