On Tuesday, December 7, 2021, the Board of Directors will hold a special meeting at 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of continuing discussion of the district’s draft redistricting plan options as recommended by Sammamish Data Systems. Following feedback from members of the public at the board's November 22 special meeting, a second draft redistricting plan is being provided for comparison and consideration. Both options are attached to the special meeting agenda in BoardDocs.
The upcoming special meeting will be conducted with the following proposed schedule:- 5:00-5:20 p.m. - Board Member comments and questions
- 5:20-5:50 p.m. - Community Questions
- 5:50-5:55 p.m. - Additional Board Comments/Questions
- 5:55-6:00 p.m. - Motion / Adjournment
Any public comments that cannot be heard within the time allotted in this meeting can be submitted in writing to comments@blainesd.org no later than 12:00 p.m. on December 13 in order to be considered by the board prior to taking action on adoption of the new redistricting plan at the December 14 meeting.
