Dear families,
Welcome to Blaine Primary School! We are so happy you have registered your child for kindergarten! We look forward to getting to know you and your child in the fall. We know there are a lot of unknowns at this point, but rest assured we will work through the challenges and make it a great year. For now, we want to share some information with you so you can start to get connected to your child’s new school.
We have added a new page on our district website for incoming kindergarten families. You will be able to meet the kindergarten teachers, hear about some of the things you can do to help your child get ready for school, and even see some of the things we teach in kindergarten. The page is up, but still under construction with new content being added. Stay tuned here for updates!
Hey Kids...the kindergarten teachers have a little present for each of you!!! Ask someone in your family to bring you to Blaine Primary School to get your “Kindergarten Kit” that will help you get all ready for kindergarten. Families...we have a few fun supplies that will support the Parent Resource “Preparing for Kindergarten” that we have created for you.. Come pick up your child’s supplies: a memory game, deck of cards, scissors, and cool “flip crayons!”
On Thursday, June 18 we will be hosting a drive by “Kindergarten Kit” pick up event. (We promise it’s fun!) The kindergarten teachers hope to give a kit to every new kindergarten family so please come to the Primary School on Thursday, June 18th, between 5:00-7:00 p.m. to get your kit and wave to the kindergarten teachers!
In August, we will have all of the details worked out about how school will open for the new year. We will then host a question and answer session either virtually or in person to help answer all of your questions about getting ready for kindergarten. Please check the District website or download the Blaine School District app and watch for notifications with details. In the meantime, have a relaxing, happy summer with your families.
